Thinking about buying the arowana mentioned above and keeping it with my rays. I heard Jars are killers any thoughts if this will work or not?

Temperament varies from jardini to jardini. It may work for some but the success rate would be rather small IMO. I would not be interested in experimenting with expensive stock like rays. If you want a similar arowana but less aggression look into a leichardti. Love mine. One of my all time favorite fish.
Worked for me. I have my black jardini with my rays for years now. Its aggressive to others - mid and top level fish but ignored any bottom dwellers. It didnt touch my synodontis and black asian upside down catfish.

I've heard many stories about Jardini being fine with rays for months, then one day turning and completely destroying ray tank mates. As such I'd never try it, good luck man!
I've got it working too my jar has never caused problems with the rays. If anything he's afraid of them.
Cool vid. So far so good the jar is extremely skittish. Hopefully he stays nice if not ill get rid of him.
