how long for a jar to grow a new scale anything i can do to speed up the process?

i had a silver that lost a few scales, add aquarium salt, and do water changes to keep it from getting infected ( this is the advice i was given) i am sure some one will give you more advice....and welcome to MFK, there are some great people here

1-2 weeks for the scale to grow, but took 2 months to recover back the color if not mistaken.

mine took 3 month to get the shine back.
can be a pain.
if younger will grow faster.

My jardini lost a scale. It took 3 weeks for it to grow out. And the scale are still not shiny.
That was 2 months ago.

scales will grow back quickly, but the color may take some time to grow back

Small aros, the scale will grow quite fast within weeks but bigger aros will take months.

after two weeks, the darker new growth would be visible, in a month the colors will be back to normal
