what would happen if i keep a jardini in a 75 breeder thats 48x18 not sure of height. i plan on getting a jardini but thats the only tank i can put him in. the fish is 9" as of now...how long can i keep him in there...and would be the results if i keep him in there for life?

If you kept him in ther permantly could cause growth problems and shorten his life span. I wouldn't suggest it for to long.

only for a coule of months, before a permament growth abnormality develops. it could be stunted if you keep it there for life

The bare minimum would be a tank with a 2' (preferrably 2.5') width and 4' (preferrably 5'-6') length.

Also, many jars get very aggro when the hit 1', so don't invest too much money in tankmates..

dont do it! for 1 it's cruel and 2 it'll be that skittish that itll prolly break ur tank...180 gallon minimum for a jar..and even that's to small really..

Unless you plan on upgrading really really fast don't do it.

The jar will freak out in a tank that small.
