It should get around 2 feet if not more, so definitely not for life in a 75. A 180 would be an absolute bare minimum in my opinion with bigger obviously being better.

If you're lucky you can squeeze 2 years out of the 75.
 
75g is too small for a jar for life as others have said. The minimum tank size for a jar in my opinion is a 125g WIDE with a footprint of 72"L x 24"W x 17"H. The bigger the better if you can afford it money and space wise. Good luck.
 
no it wouldnt work for life id suggest 6x2x2 as min for life but bigger is best :)
