I have a 9in jardini that only eats live feeders. I tried feeding him krill and pellets for a couple of days, but he justs spits it out. Is there any tricks to get him back on pellets.
Hey man like the other guys said starving him is a good way it won't kill him he'll eat before he'll let him self i starved my homie for allmost two weeks and i couldn't take it anymore so i went out and bought a bunch of frozen stuff to see if he would take any of that. the only thing he would eat was frozen blood worms but if you can get him to eat something other then the sticks like a frozen food it's a good way to start he's more likely to eat something else first then the sticks and then atleast you got him of the routine of eating live food and it is easier to get him to eat the sticks and if he don't still the blood worms are cheap as hell and good for him but like i said getting him to excpt eating something other then live food is the hardest part and then you can get him to be less picky about what it is that he actually eat's after his life food habbit is gone. Hope i helped you can contact me and we can chat further if you want buy for now
That's right, getting them to eat stuff that's not moving is the key. I started with those little peeled shrimp tails and moved onto pellets (slowly) from there.
Finally got him on pellets. He doesn't care for the Hikari food sticks, but seems to like cichlid gold. Thanks for all the suggestions and sorry for the late reply. My comp has been doen for a couple of weeks.
