I agree about the most important thing with a jardini is consitency i never owned any other kind of arow so i can't speak on them but i owned a jardini till he was 19 inches and i never even checked the ph even once the only time i ever did is when i first put him in his first tank i kept my jardini in a tank with just crushed coral to raise the ph on the bottom and i used black water solution i put 1 table spoon of salt per 5 gallons of water and i change 50 perfent of the water once a week religously and this is how i kept it ever sence i owned him and he loved these condictions and also i kept him in 80-85 temp always to and i got him at 4 inches and he grew to 19 inches in 9 months also i fed him a diet of frozen blood worms and 2 dozen crickets a day sorry if i deraled the thread a little just wanted to give the guy some things that worked for me anyways my point is consitency was what worked for me i see lots of people with arow's allways testing ph amonia bla bla bla no need just keep it filtered good and change the water and keep it consistent and you'r little homie will be golden hope i helped
