Okay so I posted last week I picked up a small maybe 2.5” jar at most, he’s currently in quarantine and doing great. What size should he be before I introduce him in with my 6-7” peacock bass? They will not be permanate tank mates, just temporary until the jar hits his “kill everything” size. I’m not worried about my bass at all he can hold his own, I’m afraid the bass will eat the jar though lol

I wouldnt put them together at all the jardini I dont think will grow fast enough to catch up to the peacock bass anyway.

How big a tank will they be sharing? Aros are pretty delicate until 12” plus. my Jardini has no aggression towards fish his own size slight chasing of smaller fish i put it down to tank size when it comes to aggression. As for the bass and arrow combo I’d say equal size they’d be fine With enough room. My big jar doesn’t have near the power my big mono used to have.
