My jardinii, 14 to 15 inch

always eats lots.

about 2 weeks ago, i fed it lots, it wouldnt stop going for prawns so i fed it heaps of prawns.
it was ok, then few days after, it still had a bulge so t kinda just ate one or two pieces a day.
then i bought a new pack of shrimps, different brand. it ate a piece but wouldnt go for it.
been 4 or 5 days and it ate only 1 piece, it goes up t it, then ignores it when it gets closer. or bites it, then ties to swallow and spits it out.

its never done this before.

water chemistry is perfect just tested.
its in with 2x tinfoil barbs, 1x flagtail, 2x large silver dollars and 1 spotten metynis. All of them are active, eating fine, no issues.

jarindinii is just slowly cruising, not eating.
To stimulate feeding cos in the past with other monsters, have stimulated feeding gain by putting live food.
so i did, two feeder goldfish.... wiht in 1 minute or less, the two were in its belly, so its obviously hungry for live food.
i dont feed it live food... this is probalby literally the 4th time in the entire time i have had it from small i gave it live food.

what do you thinkk i should do, should i worry?
maybe it doesnt likethe brand of prawns and needs to get used to it?

they are like that
always moody
like yeterday it jumped to try and get the piece of chicken heart in my hand
and today he went crazy and started ramming against the hood when i came close tot he tank to feed him( i aways approach the tank as slowly as possible)
just leave him hungry for a day or two
he will get normal
or else try feeding him something different
they always like earthworms, and crickets

my 14inch jar does the same as well. somedays ill will feed him tons of shrimp then the next day he will just take one small piece and the rest he would also just chew it up then spit it out. i also thought something was wrong with him so i bought crickets and worms and he ate them all like a champ just being picky i guess

ok
well, i guess he will have no choice but prawns:D
glad to hear others have similar issues

mine kinda doesnt swim as much either when he is like this

well, its the first time
but he generally doent swim as much as he usually does that hes picky

Maybe you're too enjoyed to feed them that's why you didn't noticed that you're already overfeeding them.Make them fast for 2-3 days and everything will be better. I think you should remove the prawn's head and tail first before feeding them 'cause there's a tendency that it would kill your arowana because of it's sharpness.
