I need some advice - there is a jardinii for sale in my lfs and i was going to buy it last week but it got pop eye on the day I went to pick it up.

It has been treated and is better now but is it likely to reoccur or increase the chances of drop eye in the future?

if it is pop eye, which is quite different from DE, I would give it 15 days in the sLFS to see whether they actually took care of it.

PE is a disease. DE is a condition.

I thought Popeye was a sailor? :grinno::screwy::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

If you decide to buy the Jardini, make sure the water is in top shape. Also have kosher salt ready for every water change(which shoud be 3-4x a week until it clears up)

thanks for the advice - i will have another look at it later in the week and see if they have looked after it. They said they treated it with salt as soon as it came up, they seem like good fish keepers.

I've been getting my tank ready for the last week - making sure the water is sweet and removing the little fin nipping convicts. I don't want anything sress it out as soon as it gets home.
