jars and cichla.

ive read the sticky about questionable tankmates for a jar. my little guy is barely hitting 2" and my peacocks are 2 times bigger than him. anyone had success of having jars and cichla together at all? or any bad experiences? thanks fellas.


btw. the jar is by himself.

itll be ok till that jar grow 4x the size of those cichlids...unless you can provide a large tank for them the jar will eat them when it reaches full size.

One or a couple large rock structures for cover will help. My aro went from 2" last year to 18" this year and had to remove a few fish because he just wouldn't let up on them.

I had jar and peacocks together. They are alright but the jar chased them around once in a while but they were fine

Anything's risky with a jar, but I have heard many success stories about jars and pbass.

When full-grown, the jar and cichla will be around the same size...
