The jaubert system....anyone heard of it... let me know cuz i read up on it but i want to realy see if its worth putting in

I believe it uses what is called a plenum. A void under a sandbed depth of about 3". The area under the sand in almost lacking in oxygen (anoxic) and helps to reduce nitrates to nitrogen and oxygen. The sand needs to be about 1 mm or so grain size. No fish or other critters to dig into the sand either. I had a small tank set up a few years ago with this system. Seemed to work fine. I think Bob Goemens is a big fan of the Jaubert system. Google his name, he has a website.
