java moss help!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah i just got a bristlenose the other day. Maybe ill let her do some work for a few days and see if it clears up

Peroxide will destroy the algae.

Use a syringe and inject a maximum of 2ML per gallon of tank size onto the effected area.

The algae will bubble for a while and die off over the next week or so.

I do this the day before my weekly water change. But as long as you stay at or below 2ml peroxide to 1g of tank size then there is no need for a water change.

Yes it is a proven method for killing off all algae's except

Green dust algae
Green spot algae
blue gree algae/bacteria

But unless you fix the problem that caused the algae it will return.

Would this be a safe method when using around inverts such as freshwater shrimp???

I got algae on my moss, it almost killed the moss all off. I started doing extra water changes and it cleared up fairly quickly after that. I have only a small tank so the WC's were easy, I was doing like 3 a week of 50 percent of the water.

Not sure about shrimp. But my crayfish and snails do not mind it at all.
