Just curious how long it will take for my java moss to cover this wood?

I dont use co2 and have two 19 watt bulbs on my 55 gal. I have seen fast growth with my amazon swords despite the low watts.

I will take quite a few months... specially if you have low light and no CO2... I have some on my driftwood and its gotten bigger but has not spread really...it went from small patches to larger more bushyier style... what you could do if you want to cover the wood faster is when the JM gets bushier then trim it and attach the trimmings to different parts of the wood.

3 months in tank..

you don't need much light to grow out java ferns . . . and, as noted, you don't have much light . . . it will take a while, but as noted, you can help by transplanting extra growth from time-to-time

you don't need CO2 to grow java fern, and you don't need CO2 for a low light tank, so no worries there . . .

I'm going to watch this thread myself. I've been looking for a good moss to attach to some driftwood in my own low light setup. I like the driftwood piece by the way. Will look great all covered in green!
