im having problems with java partcularly you tube i cant veiw any of the videos on there. i have java turned on and i have the new adobe on there. and for some reason i can still play the you tube video on my myspace but on the site i cant at all

can anyone help? tried retarting reinstalled adobe, checked to make sure java is on

Andy - youtube doesn't use Java, it uses Flash.

Youtube recently upgraded to the latest Flash player.

If you've gone to Adobe's website and still can't view the vids, then go to control panel, add/remove programs, and uninstall "Adobe Active X control". Once it's uninstalled, go back to Adobe.com, download the latest Flash player, go to youtube, and bob's your uncle ;)

And you've actually uninstalled it first from the control panel? And restarted your comp, then installed it again from Adobe's site?

For some reason reinstalling it sometimes doesn't work, you have to uninstall the activex program first.

ive had the computer since 2002 was just reformatted. had no problems up till just yesterday. i go to youtube everyday. yes i unistalled everythign then restarted and reinstalled and nothing

i get this message when trying to view a video on the site

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player
