I picked up a golden headed jawfish the other day and I have to say, it's awesome! I have noticed though that he will spend all day makeing a burrow, then at night he digs as far as he can down in a corner and sleeps there. Has he just not found a good place yet?

They will work out a spot after some time. My duscky took a couple days to hunker down and get settled. Just make sure you have lots of little rock chunks for them to use as support for the tunnel when they dig.

I will get some pics tomorrow. He is in a horrible place for a pic, and is scared since I just did a w/c. It looks like he is chilling in one of my pistol shrimps old burrows, maybe they will pair up!

This morning I noticed the jawfish made his new borrow under the rock my pistol usually hangs under. Then I got home today and I noticed that all of his burrows where closed up, so I opened up the shrimps burrow and there he was! Now I am worried my shrimp is going to keep closing up the borrow. Any ideas? I don't want him trapped under a rock.

My other option is I could take him out of this tank and put him in my 20 long. The only problem is that I have the Carib Sea fine Oolite sand, would that be too fine for him?

Crappy pics, better ones to follow when he is more settled. Also should I break up the rocks more?

Yeah, Move the rocks around a bit so there's no way he can get stuck

I just moved a few rocks near him and he pushed them down into the San to keep it from moving.
