I just received two male Festaes Tues. morning for my female, cuz the male I had died. Anyways! On tuesday evening my female Festae is going nuts. Changing color and showing true terror dominance! I had the chance to snap two pics. before my camera died. Enough typing here they are!

nice looks like they might breed watch them though if they don't breed you may need to seperate them or one may get killed

F****ing rediculous! I truely despise seeing any fish housed like this. Let alone a new fish being dumped into tight quarters with another who has already established it's own domain. I suppose you just dropped him in there? Don't be at all suprised if he ends up dead, just like the last one. But hey, you've a another who freaking cares, eh?:screwy:

:chillpill:

The main atrocity here is the use of a reef background in a FW tank

Hope you get a pair mate.

That's just a temporary set up. I'm setting up other tanks. And that divider has openings too.If you actually read my post that was the same day I actually received the f*****g fish....

That's basicly my point. The fish will be stressed from the shipping and will therefore be vonourable when added directly into another fishes territory. Festae really aren't cichlids you want to be so careless with, due to their well known mate killing reputation. Granted, i went the wrong way about saying as such, but it really is a careless thing to do. Best to allow any fish to acclimatise before allowing them access. Anyway, how are they doing now?
