Jaw Snapping

My bichirs have started snapping their jaws at one another the last two weeks.

Is this dominance related or are they just being crabby bichirs?

It seems they do it when annoyed or fighting over food or hiding places, or such.

I think it's to defend territory or display dominence my green terror always trys to lip lock with my bichir to test out his strength and my sens starts getting annoyed and snaps at him like you described , I want to get a pic next time
