one thing I love about this zoo is the awesome mixed species exhibits. This one was particularly interesting but they also had one with a pine snake, a diamondback, a gopher tortoise, and an indigo snake that I am still trying to figure out how they kept it from eating the others...
yes, we found this growing on the edge of one of the enclosures. I wonder what the keepers have been up to...

this is the jaguar exhibit and I want this to be in my backyard one day. It used to be filled with huge black pacu and arowana and an arapima but the jaguar ate most of them and the rest were moved into a pond...

mixed dart frog and bushmaster exhibit. I want to do something like this in my living room.
the conda was really active and swimming around which was cool. They also had a rainbow boa, TSN cat, motoro ray, chondro pythons, and amazon tree boas.

and of course, the komodo dragon. my favorite in the zoo. As soon as we got to his enclosure, he ran right up to the glass and seemed a little too interested in my camera but it made for some excellent shots.
