Hey everyone been looking into upgrading my heaters. Looking into the 1000 watt JBJ tru temp ti for my 450. Does anyone use them and can give me the pros and cons about this heater? I tried searching up any reviews about it couldn't find any. I don't wanna spend a couple hundred bucks on a heater if they are crap...Help much appreciated thanks.

I have not seen any negative reviews on this heater. I purchased three of them for my big setup, but haven't had opportunity to use them yet :(

I have the 300w for my discus tank. after about a year it's still doing the job. the tamp display can be seen from accross the room. the protective sleeve over the tube is great for any fish that decides to lay eggs there. the temps will swing a little. mine is set at 83 and the water temp will be between 82 and 84, but that has'nt been a problem. the magnets are nice but the heater seems to fall off too easily if you bump them while cleaning. overall I would not hesitate to buy it again.

Mine is doing great, just gotta make sure to unplug them when doing wc or you'll melt the guard in a heartbeat.
