Seems that Adobe gave up on Flash development for mobile devices. Where does that leave the perceived technological advantage for android over iphone?

It's no secret that Flash is problematic, on computers and phones. BUT, that still does not address the fact that much of the web content these days still uses Flash. And because of Apple refusing to use it, users miss out on a lot. That's like saying I'm not going to drive or buy a car because one day we'll have cars that fly. A regular car being Flash, and a flying car being HTML5. Not one person has denied that HTML5 is the future. But until that future is here, Flash is still needed.

And it still is, and always be on whatever Android device I own :)

Indeed! I figured you would find this article interesting. I wish I had the patience to dig up the thread where you were on the verge of swearing off android and buying an iphone. That *still* makes me laugh inside.

Ha I almost did! In fact, if the new iPhone would have been 4G, then it would have been a good competitor. But the more I thought about it, there's just too many limitations and restrictions that would drive me insane on a daily basis. I just can't do it. I just converted an iPhone girl to Android. Says she'll never go back to the iPhone :)

Strangely enough, ive never had much problem running Flash on either of my Imac's or Powerbook pros. It can be slow sometimes when using Firefox, but I mostly Safari. Wonder why it was only a mobile issue?

Once you go android you never go back? HEY-O

I'm actually pretty happy with the 4s I just bought (well both of them, my wife has 1). Maybe one day I'll get adventurous with the other platforms.

Side note, I almost bought a gen 1 (09) Lexus GX470. I found one without nav (which is VERY difficult), but I couldn't get over the fact that the rear window doesn't roll down. I can deal with teh barn door, but not the rear window limitation. So instead, I'm looking at a new Limited 4runner instead of the 10 sr5. I need more gadgets!

I think it's that many phones are too under-powered, which causes stability issues on mobile browsers. But now that phones are nearing the power capabilities of computers (currently 1.2ghz and 1gb of RAM), mobile browsers and PC browsers are going to be closely matched.

Those 4Runners are sweet. I'm dreaming about buying an FJ80 Land Cruiser :)

Speaking of the 4S, check out this camera speed test video. Iphone 4S vs the Galaxy Nexus. This Nexus is the phone I've been waiting on for months. Should be available this month through Vzw

That makes sense. The only laptop we did have issues with is one of my wifes older powerbooks, which is pathetically slow compared to her new one
