JD and GT in 55?

Could you do a JD and a GT in a 55 gallon tank?
 
yes, i would think so lol thats my plan.. there both an amazing cichlid. but they grow farely big so you might get a couple of years out of your 55gal then you might want to up grade.
 
I guess that tank would be good enough for both of them now. You would need a bigger tank eventually as they grow.

I wouldn't add anymore fish/cichlids for now(perhaps an algae eater would do) as there a few territory for new fishes.

I would be worried about territory though, I even have problem in my 75 gal housing a midas and a JD concerning territory.
My late midas cichlid took about 3/4 space of the tank and chases other fishes away.Lol



 
go for 100+ gallons 55 is way too small for them

i think the minimum for them should be 75 gallons each but f theya re together
55 is a no no
 
Only for s short while, when the grow they will need something bigger.
