JD Caudal fin

I was just wondering why my male Jack Dempsey cichlid has the long bit coming off the back of his tail fin not seen it on others I see , sorry about the pic quality.

Sorry about the double pic, just want to add he's pale because he was breeding the female went almost black quite cool to watch them change so quickly , also snails disappear 99% around 30 mins after feeding , doesn't always look so bad in there, tried leaving them alone as much as poss at that time.

Probably just a weird gene mutation. I had a HRP with an extra spike on his tail as well. Everything else was fine.

See the extra spike on the top portion of his tail.

? hopefully he don't have the issue I have with my dressing gown string the amount of times I've shut that in a door is unreal ?
