JD fading???

Ok I have had a JD since the start of the year and its about 4".Over the last few months I have noticed its slowly turning gold/yellow.Its pelvic fins are yellow and round its face its fading(like flowerhorns do).Also its tail fin now has a gold edge like a GT.Is this normal?? I always thought gold JD's were born this colour or is mine just a freak?

my JD changed colour quite a bit after i got him at around 6 or 7 inches. yours is still very small so he will most likely change colour some more. i found some pictures on another web site for you www.imagegraphix.net/gjdpics.htm. have fun with ya fish!

Was doing a waterchange tonight and I managed to get a rare shot of my weird JD. What you think? It almost has the markings of a GT. You cant see from the pic but its whole throat area is yellow.
