I just picked up a juvenile JD yesterday. I temporarily put him with my BPs. I am planning on upgrading my catfishes tank or selling my catfish. After the catfish is out of his tank the JD will go in the tank. The tank is 65 gallons. I would like to know any general info on them. I would like to know their growth rate if they are given proper living conditions, and anything else I should know. Thanks!!!!

65 is good for one (or two if you have a breeding pair)
They get like 10 inch
Fairly aggressive (as far as cichlids go I'd say a 6 out of 10, but it really depends on the individual, I've had some 3 out of 10's as well...)
VERY hardy fish.... Kinda hard to kill...

I'd do more googling if I were you for a basic understanding of the fish (or read through these threads...)
also try this site http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/cichlid/jackdempsey.php I skimmed through it but it seemed pretty good...

If you have specific questions ask them here.
