I recently added aquatic plants and now my JDs are all boxed up in a corner hiding behind plants. They used to be highly active and more in your face but now they turned shy what should i do? They have lessened their food in take which is alarming me.

Jack Dempseys do not like change. They are so easily spooked.

I'm sure they will adjust. It's just like ehh said they spook so easy, but they do need a place to hide a comfort zone if you will.... they should be fine once they see the difference isn't a threat... turn the light off for a while and let them get comfortable
the less often you keep your hands and net out of the water, the happier and more visible the jack dempseys will be.
