This is normal, but the ruckus could lead to the eggs being eaten.
If it were me , I'd remove the male to another tank, and allow the female to raise eggs and young herself.
The process of catching the male can be disturbing, and also cause them to eat the eggs, so it must be done carefully.
You could also divide the tank with egg crate, female with eggs, male opposite side of the divider.

It must fit tightly with no holes large enough for him to slip thru.
