JD make or female?

It is really to early yo tell.

I'd say male as well. I was looking at the fins and they appear to be pointed and elongated in the top right picture. This is NOT a very good way to tell sex in itself. Give it a few months and hopefully it can be sexed accurately.

I'm going to say a very washed out female because the spangling is all on the face/gill plates, not even over the body like males, plus the fins are rounded off.
