My 2 inches Electric Blue Dampsey swallowed an inch OttoCat yesterday... but the ottocat still stuck in its mouth after 24 hours. What should I do? I tried to pull it out, but it's impossible to pull..

Wait another day at least, pulling it out once the spines are lodged is very dangerous and it is to small to get snippers in to cut the spines. I think all you can do is hope it swallows it.

thanks for the advise
I will wait now and hope it is swallowed

Youre going to thave to wait and hope for the best hopefully the spines arent lodged in the roof of your jd's mouth and he will be able to get it down.

you sure its all down? maybe the mouth area still hurts or some part of the jaw structure got dislocated. very unlikely, just observe. post a good pic if you can

I just found out the dead body of that OttoCat in the corner of my tank... I think my JD spit it all out. but its mouth is still wide open?... is it possible it dislocate its jaw?
if it is, will my JD be able to EAT ever??:(

My Oscars mouth was open for 2 weeks after i yanked his common Plec out with plyers. It's a waiting game.. Mine finally closed his mouth.

Otto cat spines aren't that dangerous in my opinion they are flimsy... I would have pulled it out :) Heres the common with much stronger spines..that i pulled from my O. This was two years ago.. So chances are you could have that fish a while longer.. Mine is still alive :)

I see nothing in my JD mouth now, but its mouth is still open.
so I try to feed it small pellets. mY JD seems hungry and try to eat it. but the pellets just fall out from gills... I am afraid it will starve to death...:(

It won't starve for at least a week even when so small. It probably has a swollen throat, give time.
