Two days ago, I added a Texas cichlid to my 120 gallon tank, which holds one Oscar, a JD, and a place. Usually my JD is out and cruising the tank, but after the introduction of the texas cichlid, which is the same size of the JD, the JD hides most of the time besides feeding, which is unlike him. They are both about 3", and I haven't witnessed any agression between them, although in sure there could be a lot going on I'm missing. Any ideas whats happening? Thanks.

whats the texas like? I assume the texas is now the "king" of the tank.
He's been out front and center for a while now so it seems that way...but it's wired, if he encounters the JD, the jd is always the one to chase him off, until he goes back to hiding

JDs are normally pretty skittish, and since you've changed up the tank by adding the Texas, he may just be more skittish than normal ... my guess is the JD is just going through an adjustment period ...
