JD Tank mate

Hello,
What's a good tank mate for my 2 inch Jack Dempsey?

depends on the tank size. most of you CA/SA cichlids would be fine as well as silver dollars and bigger fish like that. that 2incher is going to get pretty good size.

we really need the tank size to have a good suggestion, but in a big tank, most other smaller CA cichlids work

ah, thanks a lot. well, it is currently in a 20 long which i siphon everyday. i have a 30 set up. I know it needs a 55--something i'm working on. If not, i suppose i can sell, or let my friend keep in their (larger) tanks until I can get mine set up.

do they really need tank mates?
mine is currently with a bunch of mosquito fish.

It will be perfectly happy without tankmates. It can be kind of boring with just a 2 inch fish in the tank though.

if it is a 20 long it would be just for grow out, but I wouldn't have any more tankmates since it wouldn't be permanent anyway
