So I put the JD in my ank a couple weeks ago, and after the first chase from the Texas all is well. He went from maybe 1 to 1.5 in these couple weeks, however he has clamed the entire cave structure and the surrounding water as his own. He is not stupid he doesn't mess with the Oscar 7" or the Texas 5", but he refuses to allow the firemout or the two jewles come to his space. No brawls just chases them away, unles the Oscar or Texas is near by, then he just waits for them to leave.
I have no plans on moving the cave, however I wounder will the other fish be okay with out one? or should I construct another set of caves on the other side? Or maybe a hollowed out log.
