My JD has some sort of open wound on his under lip. 2 days ago it was bloody, yesterday and today the blood isnt there anymore. The JD keeps his mouth opened. He hasnt eaten for 3 days now. He was shy before, but now he almost never comes out his hiding spot.

I added some salt based product (Sera Ectopur, famous product in Europe).

Does anyone know if this is from liplocking? Or what could it be? Is it harmfull for my other fish?

Tank info:
- 125 gallon
- 78.8 °F, 26°C
- NO3 between 25 and 50mg/liter
- NO2 0mg/liter
- KH 10°d
- pH between 7,2 and 7,6

Tank mates:
- 1x Pleco
- 1x Oscar
- 1x Green Terror
- 1x Uaru Amphiacanthoides
- 1x Uaru Fernandezyepezi
- 1x Acarichthys Heckelii
- 8x Gymnocorymbus Ternetzi.

These measurements are done with a stick, because I dont have professional equipment to meassure everything.

The filter cycles around 2200L/hour.

- 30% water change every week
- filter maintenance 1x a week
- gravel vacuuming 1x a week
- fish are in tank for 4 months now

Like I said before, the bloody thing isnt there anymore. Its just plain white now. It looks like wild flesh? Is it harmfull for my other fish? What should I do?

I started my small 25gallon tank with tank water from my 125gallon tank, so I was able to put the Jack in the small tank to add the medication. I now added Sera Baktopur and Sera Mycopur.

Sera Baktopur is medication against internal and external bacteria.
Sera Mycopur is against fungal infections, skin and gill flukes.

I added the Mycopur because I saw some white fungus like thing on the wound.

I hope Jack will be better in 5 days!

Id probably say the wound is just from lip locking with other fish, most likely your GT.

Good job on adding the antifungal, open wounds are prone to it.

Thx, I hope its better within 5 days. Otherwise I have to repeat the whole proces again.

No improvement so far.

He still cant close mouth, he isnt eating and he has white stringy poo thats like 10cm long.

When he breaths something tiny white flesh goes in and out his mouth. Wonder if this is wild flesh or tumor like?

How long should I wait before I end this? I dont want the Jack to suffer...

80°F / 26°C

Ok thx for the info!

Unfortunately Jack passed away this night. I found him dead this morning.

The wound was all hardened. I guess he was in alot of pain. =(
