I have a pair of 4" jds. They were givin to me by a friend, we thought they were both male but appearently not. This is their first spawn so i'm not sure what to do with the fry once they start swimming. I dont have any tanks for them. They'll be eaten if I leave them.

Thats what i'm trying to prevent. If I leave them in the tank, my needlenose gar, and brichardi will eat them. I'd like to raise them up to 1/2"-1" so I can sell them.

125gal.

It will be just about impossible to sell a standard jack dempsey. In my opinion it wouldn't be worth the time raising them.

Well since this is the first time I've ever bred cichlids, I could use the experience. I have never kept anything smaller than 3/4".

just get a 10gallong with a sponge filter and heater, siphon the fry into that and raise them till they can be sold.
