So, I had these 2 guys in a 125 ever since the weren't even an inch long and now they're about 4 to 5 inches and it looks like they are becoming quite the couple. I have a few other cichlids in the tank who pretty much use to bully both of them around. Now that they appear to be instinctively exercising their roles in the circle of life... How much more aggressive will they get? At the moment, I would probably rank them an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10 of aggressiveness. I've had a Midas, Texas and FH in theist that pretty much tops the scale. I guess, what it all boils down too is whether or not I should be concerned for the other cichlids in the tank? Should I move them? Honestly... I was even thinking about separating the 2 because I'm not really interested in fish babies at this point.

If the other fish in the tank are the ones you mentioned then you would have no problem just let nature take it's course but if the fish are smaller than the jds then I would move them out until the jds are done then when u see eggs if u do then take out the jds and re arrange the tank then put in the other fish for one day then the next day put in the jds so they don't have a "home field" advantage and so the jds won't bully them and they still need to establish their turf

It's a little interesting because these 2 JDs just "naturally" ended up being the target fish in the tank because they were small, fast and everyone just loved to chase them. Now, seeing them pretty much holding their ground and actually chasing away some of their tankmates is kind of like karma at its best.
