  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They should be fine, just give them space, not too many decor. Just a big enough hidding place for the female!

Okay I'm going to have to divide my tanks first so they will be in only like 35g to start then at the end of the week it will be full 50. I will divide them if they get aggressive with each other. But how does this set up look. I is the tank they will go in.

Can I keep a breeding pair of bgjds in a 55 gal tank. I want to but a pair for $40 that are currently 5". Can I keep them comfortably in there?

Works fine. I currently have a JD breeding pair in a 55 (9" male & 6" female)...with lots of fry from a recent spawn.:)

The set up would be fine. =) Much more when aggression comes kicking in your female can escape the male from harassment. Once established they're pretty fine with just a seldom nips from each other.

If the parrot fish is the only fish in the tank and that's the reason why you are putting a divider, there is no need to. All three of them should be fine for a week. If you see aggression then you can divide the tank.
