anywhere from 6-12 inches but usually 10 for males 8 for females they can be kept with a wide variety of tank mates

They can be kept with numerous fish, especially in something 125+ gallons. They do ok with most cichlids other than the highly aggressive, or the very passive species.

im assuming you mean min tank size

ive seen them kept in 40 breeders, ( female) i would say for one fish or a breeding pair a 55 would be suffiecient but they will always thrive in a bigger tank

I agree, a 55 will house a pair, but like you said, for the OP to have other fish and all, a much larger tank is needed
