I will be building my own sump within the next couple months for a 265gallon. From what the website says about the tank the returns can push up to 700gph each, so a total of 1400gph. The flow rate on the jebao dc-12000 is over 3k and at a head height of 5.5' it appears to be 1800-2000gph. So I'm assuming this will keep my flow maximized for what the tank can handle? I'm no expert in this stuff so I wanted to run it past some experts before I start ordering stuff. Thanks

You mean the drains can handle 700gph correct?

Pump output is the same side as the returns. If so, it sounds like the pump will push too much without valving it back or adding head. Not sure how the Jebao pumps handle valves but most non dc pumps handle it well.

make sure you run 1.5 pvc with out any hard angles that will reduce flow

I run a Waveline 12000 for my closed loop circulation pump, which I believe is the same version of the Jebao (but have not compared the specs). I don't think you'll have any issues and will likely not run it full throttle for your return pump. I use a smaller, 10000 model for my return, and it's on about 70% of max (for my ~260 gallon). I think you'll be happy with the DC pumps.

I have the jebao 9000, and I am very pleased with it. I have no experience with the 12000 version, but there is a good chance it will out pump your drains. I have mine set 1 back from full pressure, but my drains suck. I plan to run it full out when my 240 is finally done leaking.

Good luck!

Thanks, since they are adjustable I'm fine turning it down if I have to, I just wanted to make sure whatever I picked would max out the return capabilities of the tank.
