Do you like it better than others you have used in the past? Its the only model that I really can not find alot of info on besides the few people selling them.
Something to consider. I think all of these pumps dcs, dcp, and dct are going to be within the ball park as far as quality.
The sound aspect maybe a little over stated. Reason im saying this is i dont think you need to put to much intp worrying about it. Since your not doing auto drip the sumps water level will drop thus making the overflow level drop inbetween wc's i sont bother messing with the gate becausr its just a slight trickle sound that actually sounds nice any humm from the pumps is minute

Im gonna do some sump cleaning sometime over thr next few days. I want to see if the pond boxes are holding a ton of crud. If so im gonna remove them
Nothing. I've had other sumps set up the same way. Pretty sure ragins sump is like that and i know duanes has had many set ups this way.

That would save a few bucks and a some time drilling the sides of the boxes. You would just use the screw on "grate" piece instead so nothing is sucked up by the impeller
