Running a DC 9000 on my 300g for close to 2 months now and it works great. Mine is a submersible unit, but could also be run external. My only complaint/ regret is not paying the extra $10 - $15 to get the larger DC 12000. Do a Google search for reviews and you'll find a lot of reef guys have been using them for a while with little or no complaints.
