If you watch him at the 15 sec he lessons the radiator cap pulls his hand back like its hot...and it blows on him thats why you don't try to open your coolant when its hot!

Cant speak for that guy, in my case it was a faulty cap. He may have been trying to release pressure via the valve on the cap.

Ive had this happen to me, melted skin right off me.

Steam burns are horrific... I melted a good chunk of my fore-arm messing around dumping a bucket of water on a grill... AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
