i have two of them one is 4 inches and the other is 2 and a half. the larger one keeps digging holes in the gravel and moving rocks clear across the tank. i was just wondering if this was some type of breeding behavior or something?

it's a normal behavior seen in a lot of cichlids. He's just redesigning his new home to the way he likes it.

yup, most cichlids dig and it is usually in preparation for breeding. egg layers will often lay the eggs on a flat surface, but then move the fry once they're hatched to the pit they've dug. mouthbrooders I believe dig the pits for the female to lay the eggs in before scooping them up in her mouth.

wat do they look like? if they spawn i would probly be interested in some fry
