The Land where Fish Rule!
Anyone know where I can find either a Cephalosilurus fowleri or Cephalosilurus apurensis for sale? When I do find a picture of them they are always in the Uk and I live in the US. Are there any large differences between the two species besides the size? From what I know they are pretty lazy, but sometimes aggressive in addition to growing between 9in -16 in depending on the species. Any other info would be appreciated! Thanks!!

I've seen them on aquabid. ECZS had apurensis a few weeks back. Other than that I haven't seen much. Good luck finding some!

image.jpg this is my apurensis at 1.5 " in October. It's hiding beneath a as all gap under some 3d background.

image.jpg this is about 6 weeks ago and now it's pushing 10"

This is a fascinating cat although it is very lazy most of the time! It's a great addition to a large community tank!

I am in PA. It seems River Wonders is out of business for illegal practices and the ones at Shark Aquarium are already 10" in. I think they are awesome fish, kind of look like flathead x bullhead hybrids to me haha. Do you have any tank mates with yours?

Yes on all accounts. Is 10" a problem? They grow very quickly anyway...

Mine three had 100 tankmates, scroll through 5 pages - lots of pics: http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=29488&hilit=+pet+catfish

Only problem would be the expense due to shipping. Extremely impressive tank and stock btw! I think I will just be keeping my eyes open for one, interesting though how they seem to be much more available in the UK...
