Jerky neighbors.......I need to vent

Does anyone here have jerky neighbors ? I live by the motto , dont bother me and I wont bother you. I can never seem to get that in return.

I live in NH on 3 acres of land that abutts conservation land. Great for ATV's. We have 5 ATV's Mine , wifes, 3 kids each have one. Instead of driving through our back yard to get to the trails we ride up the street because there is a small brook in the yard that has to be crossed and it's kind of dangerous for the kids ( 2 Youngest ) anyway, we have to pass a total of three houses on the way to the trails. We NEVER speed and always give the cars the right of way 100%.

Today we were riding a new quad we got today and all the sudden the jerk up the road 18 yr old girl comes flying down the road at me and my daughter and I mean flying. I didnt know she had been in my yard screaming at my wife that our kids are always PLAYING and it's annoying to her and she burns her tires and heads right at my on the ATV with my daugher with a nasty look. Now again, I dont care if my neighbors are cutting there kids up with saws as long as it's not my kids we have no problems.

Long story short she called the cops and the cops came. Both of them ended up being ATV riders so it was kind of joke on her but it still makes me not want the ATV's anymore. It baffles me that in this day and age with all the mental case people that are out there, people will still break your balls. now it's time for me to BRING THE NOISE. Now I have to be a Mother F'er. Sorry for the long story , just needed to vent.

damn, that's bad. that lady needs a life, I have a child care center right next door with 30+ kids at anyone time playing and it's not that bad, and remember, these kids are the obnoxious 4 year olders who yell at you from there side of the fence to go get the ball, or what are you doing

yeah it's kind of funny because while she was yelling at my wife, my wife asked her who she was and she replied I live up at #22 so my wife said well go back up to 22 and get a life....lol

We live in an area almost identical to yours, 3 acre lots but there's only 5 or 6 homes around here. Several of the homes have ATV's and ride them up the street past our house to get to the hilly open area. It drives my dogs nuts and they bark like crazy but they're on a public road and the kids have a blast. I figure if they can put up with my dogs going nuts every time they go by then I can certainly put up with their kids tearing around having fun. Don't let that lady ruin your day or (more importantly) your kids fun. I'd be furious for my kids to have had to listen to that. Just explain to them that some people are jerks for reasons we don't understand and tell the kids count to 10, don't let it upset them and have FUN.

It happens man, I unfortunately don't have any land close to ride on. So occasionally cruise up the street. (I live in the suburbs) None of my neighbors ever say anything because I am usually just turning around my quad to load it. I did have a neighbor once yell at me for it, I was respectful and put my quad up and apologized. But if someone on my land came up and told me I couldn't ride on MY land I would tell her to get a life too lol.

i have a neighbor who is like that, when i had a dog he would get out of our yard occasionally and she yelled at us because he apparently walked through her yard. she said something like, "theres a leash law you know" and threatened to call the police. fast forward a few years and she now has a dog and while she is taking him for a walk she lets it off its leash, then her dog run straight into our house (our front door was open because we were doing some yard work) dog dog left on its own when it realized that we had a dog (our weighed around 80 pounds) and as she was walking away we yelled "theres a leassh law" she acted like she didnt hear us but she never complained about our dog again.

I know how you feel. When I still lived with my parents. The neighbor lady called the cops on me b/c SHE stoped her car in the middle of the road in front of my house and yelled at my mom who was sitting INSIDE the house. I got pissed got up and told her what was up. A few hours later there was a cop at my house telling me he was going to take me downtown if I did that again. Needless to say I told the cop that if someone yells at my mom while she's inside her house I don't care who it is they are geting ar earfull.
