In my 75g African Cichlid tank, I have 13 cichlids, 3 are jewels. Two of them ended up pairing, and produced about 100-200 eggs twice, and each time they ended up eating them. The third time the eggs finally hatched and the fry (about 60 of them) are all swimming around, staying close to the parents. Its been about two days and I'm getting nervous that the parents will eat them soon, should I be worried? I have a spare 55g and about 6 breeder nets I can line up near the top of the tank. When should I seperate them from their parents, and should I put all 60 in one breeder net until they get a little bigger?
All the fry are eating at the moment is the algae that grew on the ornament their eggs were laid on, and I can't seem to find any egg sacs remaining on them. Any help will be much appreciated!
