So my pair of jewel cichlids laid eggs, again. I have some fry already. They laid them in my Terra Cotta pot with a small flat rock in it. Well I have a question concerning them.

I am wondering if it is okay to separate the female and eggs/fry out of my 55 gallon and moving them to another tank. I am worried about the female's body breaking down. Is it okay to move just the female and babies out? I have a 29 gallon I can move them to.

Well they hatched. A bunch of little wigglers. Should I remove the first batch?

What other fish do u have with them? usually u could leave them with the parents. But in over crowded tanks stress on the first time parents and they are more inlcine to eat their young. you dont have to remove fry WITH mom. they can be moved on their own but i would ad they are very delicate this young.
