Well as some of you know I plan on buying this beautiful 12-14" Jewel Moray Eel this week if he's still there when I make my weekly visit to the LFS Friday.

He's charging $99.99 for him I might go up there Tuesday and if he's still there ask if he'll hold him with a $5 deposit till Friday when I get paid and would feel comfortable with soending that much on him. My question is would I have a problem keeping him with a 3-4" Koran Angel? at the LFS he's got him in the same tank as a 1.5" $30 Butterflyfish and they are sharing the same little cave. I might pick up a Yellow Tang or a Flame Angel would there be any problem keeping them with any of those? I really want him. This guy is beautiful!

I will be using it with caution that is why I was thinkin about letting the other fish grow out to about 6-7" and then introduce them all to the tank. I just don't know because the Eel forum says they'll be ok right now as long as I keep him full and the LFS owner says he's a mellow Jewel that's why he is comfortable with him sharing a tank with a Butterfly I was hoping mrReef could shed some light because he's so far the only member I've met on MFK that has one.

With eels you never know they can be very tempermental. I had a tesselated and a zebra moray together for 2 years with no issues in a 80 gallon tank and they were both well feed and one day my tess decided to bite half of by zebras head off they were both about 18 inches.

I have a jeweled moray and he kills anything you put in the tank they are very aggressive I have 4 stitches from a bite from him to prove it for just putting my hand in the tank any fish or invert is dinner. even if they are bigger he'll bite them in half mine does.

I'm only allowed one tank and I would like for it to be a combination of Angels, Tangs, Eel, and Inverts....
