Jewel not coloring up

i keep a single Jewel for now in a 20gallon tank, had it for abt 2 months now but is still the pale color that i got her in

I do a 75% water change every week and feeds it pellets and frozen prawns occasionally

What can i do to make her color more??

i want to keep some more fish with it so any suggestions for medium sized cichlids are welcome

How large is it? Mine didn't color up til about the 3" mark, despite color enhancing flakes and lots of frozen foods.

WOW ur Jewels are amazing!! thanx a lot i'll put some more Jewels in there.. i was thinking of keeping a firemouth too.. what do u think??

Feed them Krill and Hikari Bio-Gold (always worked nicely for me)

jewels are less aggressive than the most CA/SA chiclids, and if the FMs breed then there could be a problem
but i am not sure
may be some one with more experience with these fish could chime in
