Jewel x zz fh ??

Has anyone bred a zz with a jewel cichlid?? I was just wondering what the result would be ( pics would be great) , can this happen with time and effort? ... Just asking because i have a male zz ready to breed and i think im going to try and pair him with my female jewel. Any info would be appreciated.

That is a very nice looking fish, never herd of it before. If i did breed that with a zz do you no the outcome of the babys? What will they look like? Just wondering.

They are too genetically disparate... being from different countries and all.... only ca cichlids can hybridize amongst themselves (result = flowerhorn) they cant even hybridize with south americans.

some South American Cichlids can be mixed with a FH its Africans that can not

Ohh i keep forgetting its african, well that sucks man i really wanted to have some jewel genes in a flowerhorn, thanks for the info.

well you would get alot more pearling with a Herichthys carpintis "Escondido" might just make you some nice red texas cichlids
