I have a pair of kribs in a 30 long and just wanted to know if it would be safe to put a pair of jewels in there also? A LFS has a pair of the more silver colored ones not the red ones.

i would not do it, nor would i recommend it. in my experience jewels are ruthless, especially in a pair.
I wouldn't try it in a 3ft long tank. A 5ft sure, even a 4ft would be iffy and you would have to design it to keep the kribs on one side and the jewels on the other. Don't underestamate a breeding pair of kribs though.
i have 5 of each in a 55 gallon along with about 10 small mis africans, normal agression so far but noone is hurt, they have been together about 3 months now.
