i was just wondering if these are just regular jewels. are they just a color variant of something. most of the jewels ive seen are more red than these.

i may be wrong but

from what i understand there are the red jewels that your speaking of and then there are turquiose ones, those may be the turquoise ones

or i may be completely wrong

They are turquoise jewels, and though very pretty and easily recognizable they are not accepted as a true or linebred variant of a true species, but hybrids. What the parenting cross might have been is not really known but the common H. gutattus is assumed to be at least half of the equation and possibly one of the "green" species for the other.
 
ahhh i see. cool thanks for the info. they really have some cool colors on them. does anyone know how to go about sexing them.
